Welcome to St. Joseph Allamano Maralal

The Allamano Pastoral Centre in Maralal, named in honor of Blessed Joseph Allamano, serves as the central hub for pastoral coordination and formation in the Catholic Diocese of Maralal. It plays a vital role in supporting evangelization, catechesis, liturgy, and other diocesan ministries. The centre also provides space for retreats, training sessions, and diocesan gatherings, making it an essential resource for clergy, religious, catechists, and the lay faithful.

 

The centre has been a place of leadership and growth in the diocese, once directed by Rt. Rev. Bishop. Hieronymus Emusugut Joya. It continues to host key diocesan events, including celebrations honoring Blessed Allamano, whose missionary spirit inspires its mission. As the pastoral heart of the diocese, the Allamano Pastoral Centre fosters unity, spiritual nourishment, and ongoing formation, ensuring that the Church remains strong in both faith and service.

Allamano Pastoral Center Carry Out following responsibilities:

  1. Pastoral Coordination – Acts as the central hub for planning, coordinating, and implementing pastoral programs across the Diocese of Maralal.

  2. Faith Formation & Catechesis – Provides training for catechists, Small Christian Communities (SCCs), and lay leaders to strengthen evangelization.

  3. Liturgical Support – Organizes workshops, seminars, and resources for liturgy, choirs, lectors, and sacramental preparation.

  4. Retreats & Spiritual Renewal – Hosts retreats, recollections, and spiritual programs for clergy, religious, and the laity.

  5. Youth & Family Programs – Coordinates youth ministry, family life apostolate, and marriage preparation initiatives.

  6. Pastoral Training & Leadership – Offers seminars for priests, religious, and lay leaders to enhance skills in ministry and service.

  7. Peace & Social Outreach – Supports justice, peace, and reconciliation initiatives, alongside community development projects linked with Caritas.

  8. Diocesan Gatherings – Serves as a venue for major diocesan events, pastoral assemblies, and celebrations.
